Michel Fais (Komotini, 1957) is head of the book section in the “Editors’ Journal”, Director of Studies and teacher in the “School” (creative writing workshops organized by Patakis publications) and editor of a number of literary collections; he is also interested in photography and script-writing.

He has published the following books: Autobiography of a Book (novel, Kastaniotis 1994), From the Same Glass and Other Stories (short stories, Kastaniotis 1999 – won the State Prize for Short Story in 2000. Revised reissue: Patakis 2011. It has been translated into English, French and Spanish), Aegypius Monachus (novella, Kastaniotis 2001. Revised reissue: Patakis 2013), Honey and the Ashes of God (novel, Patakis 2002), Greek Insomnia (novel, Patakis 2004), The Yellow Dog (play, Patakis 2009), Purple Laughs (novel, Patakis 2010), Burial Offerings (novel, Patakis 2012), The Bench of Any (play, Patakis 2014). He has also published essays, has edited various publications, and has done a number of translations.
