  • Four readers and the director of a play are reading the text around a crooked, long table. At moments, they get carried away and re-enact what they read, reliving what they experienced as fictional characters; they reach to the conclusion that what they experience is a verge between life and representation, between reality and imagination. The play comprises of fragments from a polyphonic novel of memory and identity, which revoke individual and collective experiences; the epicentre is Komotini and the multicultural human geography of Thrace, from the early 20th century to the mid-1990s. History, confession, short narratives, crosstalk of the anonymous narrator – a place’s autobiography over time. The play is based on the novel Autobiography of a Book (1994, revised reissue in 2005].
