Lower Parthenon is a small “suburb” below the Acropolis, where the “Neo-Homeless”, one of the two central characters of the play, lives, among others. In order to survive, he sells books, washes in public restrooms and attends the common meals organized by the municipality and the church. The other character, the “Neo-Poor”, a senior executive of an investment company, lives in his modern apartment; he has lost all his financial power and he has fallen into despair. One evening the paths of these two people cross, and their lives are changed through a game of conflicts and revelations. Truth and lies come toe-to-toe in the Greece of now, the age of awkwardness…
