- An adaptation of Euripides’ play. Although a tragedy, it incorporates comic and romantic elements, while its characters are presented not as idealized figures but as deeply human and contradictory individuals. In this new adaptation of Ion for three actors, the characters of Creusa, Ion, and Hermes–Xuthus serve as the bearers of all the play’s conflicts, in a performance marked by continuous reversals of fortune and a powerful sense of destiny.
