Writing is for Melina Papageorgiou an internal need and a personal pleasure. She records thoughts, writes short stories and theatrical texts. Her play Mezzanine, which arose through the PLAY Program, a collaboration between the Cyprus Centre of the International Theatre Institute and the Cyprus Theatre Organisation, was edited by a theatrical writing consultant and was presented as part of the Program in staged reading in November 2013. In March 2015 the play went on stage directed by Magdalena Zira, production of Imaginary Theatre.
