Graduate of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) Department of Theatre Studies (A. Papadakis Scholarship), and scholar and honors graduate of the two-year interdisciplinary master’s program in Theatre Studies (EKPA) and Music Studies (Ionian University). She has worked as a dramaturg, translator, and adapter of plays, program editor, production dramaturg, art project manager, production manager/collaborator, assistant director, and assistant film editor. She has collaborated in these roles with renowned directors from Greece and abroad, such as G. Houvardas, M. Marmarinos, S. Livathinos, D. Tarlow, G. Kakleas, K. Bogomolov, R. Wilson, T. Suzuki, O. Korsunovas, C. Graužinis, D. Karantzas, K. Evangelatou, G. Kalabrianos, G. Koutlis, among others, and with international choreographers like K. Rigos, G. Mandafounis, and A. Foniadakis, in numerous performances and projects with organizations including the National Theatre, Greek National Opera, Poreia Theatre, Onassis Stegi, SNFCC, European Cultural Center of Delphi, Cyprus Theatre Organization, Art Theatre, Piraeus Municipal Theatre, the Russian collective Chto Delat, the opera group The Medium Project, and others.
She is multilingual and has translated plays from original languages by H. Ibsen, J. Fosse, A. Strindberg, A. Chekhov, S. Beckett, H. Pinter, T. Bernhard, N. Coward, S. Stephens, R. Schimmelpfennig, D. Hare, T. Ostermeier, and more. She has written librettos such as The Shell Game, That Person, Hedda Gabler, The Night of Pleiades, and Herren for operas by G. Dousis and P. Liaropoulos, presented by the Greek National Opera, The Medium Project, Hellenic Radio, and others. She has adapted novels for the stage, including The pleased one by M. Karagatsi (directed by D. Tarlow), The Horizon Line by Ch. Vakalopoulos (directed by G. Pavlou), Brave New World by A. Huxley (directed by Al. Diamantis). She has written plays such as Butterflies in my Stomach (directed by K. Rigos), Some Pieces of Stone (directed by Sophia Vgenopoulou), Frankenstein & Eliza (directed by D. Tarlow).
She served as project manager in the Opening, Closing, and Medal Ceremony Division of the Athens 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games. She was the Director of the National Theatre’s Artistic Director’s Office (2007–2013, under the artistic direction of G. Houvardas, and 2015–2016 under S. Livathinos). She was a member of the State Theatre Play Award Committee in 2017 and 2018. She served as Deputy Artistic Director of the National Theatre (September 2019 – January 2021) and Artistic Director (February – December 2021). She currently teaches dramaturgy in the Department of Directing at the National Theatre’s Drama School.
