  • The play takes place in Berlin. The entire city is burning with protests, riots and violence. Elsewhere, in a small room, the characters find themselves taking part in an imaginary protest. The hero, an aspiring writer, is a forum member and suggests that the others join with him as well, as an experiment. They talk to an imaginary crowd. Eventually, this act turns into a game they can’t escape from, a game that brings out ultimate truths. The stories they share function as a bridge, between the public and the private life, and the outside world progressively takes over their own. Personal dead ends take the form of political and social ones and acquire the role of social and institutional structures as well as the form of basic human qualities, such as love.
