In today’s world, in a no man’s land, a frosty place, literally and metaphorically, where time is still, lives abandoned and forgotten Noman / Philoctetes, with a bird as his sole companion. There arrives Niemand / Ajax, forced by Ulysses and his band to convince Philoctetes to reveal the hiding place of the «Sophocles» archive, as he alone knows its location and the valuable information it contains. The encounter and mutual recognition of these two visionary losers, both of whom are determined not to betray themselves, their past and their future, will be completed in the end by a sudden apparition of Pasolini, a third great unconditional fighter, who will act as «deus ex machina». Ancient myth meets contemporary distress and turmoil, Philoctetes refuses to assist the conquest of a modern-day Troy, European theatre is shadowing the savagery that continues to pervade the planet.
