  • The year is 2099. For decades, power has been in the hands of women. Men are confined to their homes, deprived of rights and opportunities, and subjected to extreme oppression. Thanasis is one such man. His life changes when the terrorist organisation “The First Gender” rises up against the regime. Kind-hearted despite his fear, Thanasis agrees to hide the organisation’s leader in his home and help arrange his escape from the country. What he has failed to reckon with, however, is his wife, Iro, the uncompromising Director of State Security, and his son, Michalis, who joins the organisation, prepared to risk everything. Having spent his entire life frightened and oppressed, Thanasis now finds himself caught between the dream of equality and the hope of a better future for his son, and the fear that nothing can ever change — and that he may lose his son forever. In the end, he proves to everyone that sometimes you become a hero when you have no other choice.
