- A play about the often harsh, everyday life of Nefeli, a 16 year-old student who perceives herself as a hybrid, programmed to breathe, eat and move back and forth between home, school and tutorials). She lives her life passively and perhaps indifferently – she has been taught to do so, since her family acts accordingly. Something starts to change when she meets Constantis and goes in search of the mysterious Maria Nefeli. Who could that “acid girl, a real of the future” be? After several unpleasant, violent incidents, Nefeli will win herself back; she will learn to dream and hope for a more beautiful life… her own. A teenage girl faces herself, her indifferent family and the harsh social reality. The play is about a young person’s existential quests and her need for self-determination, in a society that – much like the family – is essentially indifferent to the needs of the young. (A play for young adults)
