Two women, mother and daughter, Clytemnestra and Electra. Two familiar figures, and at the same time laced with so many ambiguities. A worldwide famous tragedy in modern times, a game of words and associations. History is distorted, the tragic element is sustained, while relationships are woven with hate and passions. The play shows two women who fall passionately into a race of abandoning their sexual and theatrical power with all the theatrical means in their disposal. Their goal is to turn everything into theater, to turn the world into a stage. Their art and tricks wane, and in the end they’re playing themselves and making fools of themselves. They are obsessed with theater and have been wrecked by theater. They bring theater to life out of nothing, they live from it and for it and they are destroyed by it. With unutterable joy, they walk to the edge of the theatrical cliff.
