- In present-day Athens, the delivery of a backpack to an apartment triggers surprise, confusion, questions and unexpected twists. The missing backpack, carefully and deliberately abandoned somewhere in the bustling Athens Metro, contains not only something of great value, but also the answers to crucial questions that have long haunted the characters. The WOMAN who receives it and the MAN who delivers it are complete strangers. Yet, as things begin to come to light, each recognises something of themselves in what is revealed, for reasons of their own. The revelations gather pace. The mystery deepens. Things that seemed unspeakable and safely buried begin to sound like an alarm. The unexpected encounter between these two very different people makes their cooperation imperative, while at the same time giving rise to doubts, dilemmas, guilt and conflict. Everything is called into question, while a third person exerts a decisive influence over their choices and actions. The two characters are forced to unearth and expose their most incriminating secrets, to revisit past events and confront terrifying truths. A rupture between them becomes as inevitable as their need to remain together. Their journey to the place where all the answers have been stored will finally reveal the truth and unleash an explosion of genuine emotion. What they discover will determine their actions and ultimately lead them towards a final resolution. A Backpack that weighs as heavily as the burden of conscience.
