Argyris, an authoritarian and deeply religious father, constantly complains to his wife, Nena, about their son Eftychios, an “eternal student” who, at forty, is still studying medicine in England and receiving money from his parents.
Eftychis returns home with a fake degree, accompanied by Philip, an English talent manager. Furious, Argyris sets out to marry his son off to Evdokia, a wealthy, unmarried woman from Constantinople whom he met at church, and to get rid of Philip, whom he believes is leading his son astray.
Nena, however, who was a singer in her youth but gave it up for Argyris, persuades Philip to take her on so that she can enter The Voice. A succession of hilarious mishaps, farcical situations and blunders follows, leading to a happy ending.
