Two friends, Elena and Ira, go to the cinema with Kostas, Elena’s wealthy secret lover. Both Elena and Kostas are married…
During the film, Kostas suffers a cardiac arrest. The women panic and, unsure what to do with the “body”, take him to Ira’s apartment, as she is unmarried. They try to work out how to get rid of him, inform his wife and arrange for a funeral director to collect him. Unable to find a solution, they are interrupted by a visit from their friend Danis and make a series of farcical attempts to hide the body.
Danis discovers Kostas and assumes that the women have finished him off during a threesome. Forced to tell him the truth, they consider asking him to telephone Kostas’s wife and claim that he was at the cinema with her husband and brought him to Ira’s because he did not know his address. They also call a doctor friend to make it seem credible that they tried to save him.
Danis searches the dead man’s pockets and finds some cash, a Joker lottery ticket, a Viagra tablet and a heart pill. They divide the cash and decide to put the pills in Kostas’s mouth so that the post-mortem examination will suggest that he took them himself before dying. Then they discover that the lottery ticket has won €70,000 and start planning how to share the money…
After a succession of comic incidents involving three panicked people gathered around a corpse, Kostas suddenly stirs, revived by the heart pill and visibly affected by the Viagra. Shocked and frightened, they go through a series of tragicomic moments before realising what has happened.
When Kostas, now awake, goes to the bathroom to freshen up, the three argue over whether to return the ticket and the cash. They put the money back but keep the ticket. After some comical exchanges, Kostas discovers that it is missing and starts shouting. They claim that it must have been misplaced while they were moving his “body”.
The doctor rings the doorbell, and they try to send him away. Elena’s husband arrives to collect her, and Kostas’s wife turns up too. All four resort to increasingly outrageous antics to prevent the visitors from meeting.
Eventually, it turns out that the ticket was a system entry and had not won any money. Kostas wanted it back because he had written another woman’s telephone number on it. He and Elena quarrel, then leave to meet their spouses, who are waiting downstairs.
In the lift, they exchange a “farewell”, and Kostas suffers another cardiac arrest. Elena carries his body back to Ira’s apartment…
