Charalampos Giannou was born in Cyprus (1973) and is currently living in Athens, Greece.

Plays of his have been presented at the National Theatre of Greece, at the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus, Teatrul Basca in Timisoara, La Maldita Vanidad of Bogota, the Belgrade Drama Theatre, Teatre Lliure de Barcelona, and several other stages.

 Hungry, received the State Prize for Best Play 2014, by the Ministry of Culture, Greece. The Look of Love received a Distinction at the Theatre Play Contest 2009, by the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus, while Falling Down the Stairs, also received a Distinction at the Contest for Young Playwrights 2008, by the National Theatre of Greece.

Plays of his have been translated in English, Spanish, Catalan, Polish, Romanian, and Serbian.
