  • The ants at the school of the City of Ants ask their wise teacher, Cicada, to tell them the story of an extraordinary ant named Stavros. Stavros, even though he stores every day all necessary food for the difficult winter days that are about to come, he is not at all like the other serious ants that collect only seeds. Every now and then, he gets distracted by colorful glasses, by shells or by the colours of the rainbow. The other members of the City of Ants face Stavros’ being different with hostility. It is only his little friend, Ram Pim, Cicada and the Butterfly that understand and stand by him. The adult ants reprimand him, ask him to adjust and in the end they imprison him to cast out the evil spirit. An unexpected thunderstorm destroys the City of Ants resulting in Stavros being freed by Ram Pim, Cicada and the Butterfly and in everybody understanding finally the value of all the beautiful things about which Stavros used to speak all the time.
