Pavlos is a young police officer who loses his pregnant wife, a bank employee, in a fire at the branch where she works during unrest in central Athens. After a period of profound grief, and in the throes of a deep existential crisis that brings him to the brink of madness, he becomes convinced that he can recognise criminals on sight and appoints himself their vigilante punisher.
Grigoris is a fifteen-year-old schoolboy, a keen photographer and a teenager in love. He represents a restless younger generation that thinks outside the box. During unrest in central Athens, he is shot dead by a police officer: Pavlos.
The two are links in a tragic chain, an Athenian cycle reminiscent of those found in ancient tragedy—a cycle we have no reason to believe has come to an end.
The play has yet to find its way to the stage.
