  • Drawing inspiration from the story of the Papin sisters and Jean Genet’s The Maids, a crime shocks France in February 1933: two exhausted maids caring for their sick mistress fantasise about the moment of their revenge, as well as a world in which they are nothing more than two more objects in the household. Power relations, dependent behaviour, sadomasochistic obsessions and nostalgia for a hazy past bring them face to face with their brutal crime and with justice. ***A collective work (writers: G.
