Following the publication of a collection of ten plays of the classical Greek repertory translated into French and edited by Olivier Descotes (Panorama des \u00e9critures th\u00e9\u00e2trales de la Gr\u00e8ce moderne, 1830-1958, L\u2019Espace d\u2019un instant), Ludovic Lagarde, director of the Com\u00e9die de Reims, presents a reading of Angela by Greek French-speaking actors.<\/span>

\n

\nIn the 1950s, Angela leaves her village to work as a maid in a prominent Athenian family. She meets other young women with whom she shares her hopes for a better life. The play offers a thrilling insight into Greece after the Civil War.<\/span><\/p>\n
