The performance will be held in\u00a0<strong>UNITED SOLO THEATRE FESTIVAL\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday, October 12 at 7:30 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the second realization of\u00a0<strong>Mistero Buffo<\/strong>\u00a0by Panos Vlahos and Lyto Triantafyllidou. After a successful run at the Balcony Theater in May 2016, the Guilare returns on stage and invites the audience to challenge the puritanical stereotypes of religion traditions with laughter and gives a human dimension to the concept of miracles.<\/p>\n<p>Presented by\u00a0<strong>The Orpheus Foundation for the Greek Music and Arts<\/strong>,\u00a0<em>Mistero Buffo<\/em>\u00a0will explore a social interpretation of the Passion Stories. The production will take its audience on a journey through the life of a Giullare, a Jester or Fool, revisiting and reconstructing the meaning of Miracles. Through monologues, soliloquies, storytelling, dialogues and crowd scenes, the Giullare will invite the audience to his provocative Comical Mystery, redefining the notion of authority and order.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About the\u00a0Director<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lyto\u00a0Triantafyllidou is a New York based theater director, interested in developing theater that creates a new and original dialogue with our reality, through researching and revitalizing under-represented works from the global stage, adapting classical material and collaborating with authors on new plays. In 2015, she co-founded Second Circle Theater Company, a collective of theater artists who focuses on politically charged work that intends to incite dialogue among theater and audience and tackles the issue of passivity in American culture.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<strong>The actor<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Panos Vlahos is an established Greek actor, songwriter and musician. He has acted in theaters, feature films, TV and web series in his home country. His last two performances where productions of the National Theater of Greece, presented at the prestigious Ancient Theater of Epidaurus. Panos is the youngest actor ever to perform the role of Xanthias, in Aristophane\u2019s Frogs, in Epidaurus. His first album \u201cChildren\u2019s Games\u201d was released by the label Ogdoo Music Group in 2015.\u00a0 Mistero Buffo is Panos\u2019 debut performance in the Unites States.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.panosvlahos.com\/\">panosvlahos.com<\/a><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"0\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/div>\n<p><strong>The Production<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Natasha Katerinopoulos<\/strong>\u00a0is a New York based performing arts manager, raised in the island of Crete, Greece. Since 2011 she was worked with Jonah Bokaer Choreography, the Martha Graham Dance Company and others.
