The Art Theatre Karolos Koun features for the very first time, a series of plays, through which the modern Greek dramaturgy is evidently depicted. With an extroverted outlook, the 2014 Analogia have chosen and will present seven original plays of older as well as newer Greek playwrights, under the artistic direction of Sissy Papathanasiou.<\/p>\n
At Frynihou Street in Plaka, the plays will be presented from October 3 until October 7 by playwrights Efthimis Filippou, Akis Dimou, Mihalis Virvidakis, Iasonas Sigma, Eleni Chaviara, Anna Karampa and Tsimaras Tzanatos. Directors, artists, musicians and a variety of actors, most of which are associated with the Art Theatre, will take part in the presentations, including audience discussions with the people involved in the plays as well as workshops, artistic interventions and musical performances, as well as activities for children.<\/p>\n
The new, innovative beginning of Analogia is accompanied from the initiative to establish a series of new, groundbreaking events in a national level, both in Greece and abroad. These events, will function as channels of communication and cooperation between Greeks and foreign artists and will be organized in collaboration with respective Greek and foreign private and public institutions.<\/p>\n
