{"id":4366,"date":"2024-10-20T15:10:33","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T15:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greek-theatre.gr\/article\/the-lamb\/"},"modified":"2024-10-22T11:27:37","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T11:27:37","slug":"the-lamb","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/greek-theatre.gr\/en\/article\/the-lamb\/","title":{"rendered":"The Lamb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Lamb <\/em>is the story of one night in the life of a childless couple. \u0392y all appearances, that night someone breaks in their isolated home and gets shot and killed by the husband, Zissis.<\/p>\n<p>In his effort, alongside with his wife Eftychia, to find the best way to avoid the consequences of his act, their relationship\u2019s long-lasting problems, dead-ends and disillusions come to light.<\/p>\n<p>The downfall of the collective vision, the bourgeois conformism behind the mask of the ideological sensibilities, and the artistic eccentricity, set the scene for the alienation of the two characters.<\/p>\n<p>The play borrows the structure of a fugue, repeating, over and over again, in small variations, the theme of how to get rid of the dead body, until a dream reveals the subversive truth.<\/p>\n<p>There are two intertwining stories, one concealing the other.
