A rather dramatic inspection, permeated with bitter humor; a bold satire of nationalist and unifying sloganeering. The play progresses linearly, with an alternation between prose and singing. With intentional anachronisms, it runs through the history of Cyprus – from the myth of Venus to the events of 1974 – and shows the historical troubles, the illusions and the ostensible fight.
